Mike Quade, president of the Floyd County Fair Board, asked the Board of Supervisors to continue the county’s $10,000 annual contribution and to provide an additional $12,000 to support a collection site exchange. Quade described recent improvements — sidewalks, sound systems, bleachers and drainage — and listed priorities the Fair plans to pursue: a new horse barn, expanded sound systems and seating, additional food court outlets, poultry cages and restroom upgrades.
