County approves Core Services Program plan; $2.219M allocation reported

Chris Reed of Child Welfare presented Pueblo County’s Core Services Program plan and asked the board to approve its submittal to the Colorado Department of Human Services. Reed said the plan outlines services for eligible families designed to protect children, prevent out‑of‑home placement and reunify families; the county’s core funding allocation for the fiscal year is $2,219,000.
Commissioners asked whether the allocation represented an increase or decrease from the prior year; Reed said it is “about the same” and that no substantive program changes were proposed in the final year of the three‑year plan. The board approved the submittal by motion.
