The Kay County Excise Board opened a brief welcome for newly appointed Member Christy Kennedy at its Jan. 12, 2026 meeting in Newkirk. Chairman Jeff Wilson and Vice-Chairman Rod Reese formally welcomed Kennedy; the clerk noted Kennedy’s administration of the Oath of Office was conducted through the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
