Programming Committee seeks board input to align CSB priorities with county strategic plan

The Hanover County Community Services Board Programming Committee on Feb. 2 returned to prior discussions about the CSB's strategic priorities and goals and how they can better align with the County Strategic Plan's human services objectives.
The committee agreed on a process to solicit input: Chair Woodi Sprinkel will email CSB board members asking them to review key documents ahead of the full board's February meeting and to submit written feedback to her in advance. With that input, staff will draft revisions to the CSB strategic priorities, goals and performance measures and seek interim feedback from committee meetings before presenting a final draft to the full CSB in April.
Bret Schardein summarized highlights from the County Strategic Plan and underscored opportunities for the CSB to provide input on updates to performance targets and key measures. Committee members discussed mechanisms to gather and incorporate board feedback into staff reports and future agendas.
