Belva Dorsey-Mott, representing Enrichment Services, and Sabrina Stephens, a school-board representative, presented workforce and training opportunities to the commission during the April 28 work session. Dorsey-Mott described programs offering employment training in EMT, CDL and CNA certifications and asked the county to help distribute information via its newsletter and Facebook page and to consider a future letter of support.
Chairman Coffey and County Manager Weaver asked staff to gather the program details and to place the outreach materials on county channels; Dorsey-Mott said she would return with a board appointment and more formal materials at a later meeting.
