During public comment resident Ned Burke noted the board had received a notice of an open meeting law violation stemming from a July 16 meeting where four members had discussed planning for this item. Burke suggested addressing that complaint before proceeding.
Chair Tom Haley said the complaint has been forwarded to counsel and that counsel had not advised delaying the meeting. Haley declined further discussion of the complaint because it was not on the agenda. The board did not take action on the complaint during the special meeting; the chair indicated the matter is with counsel.
