The owner's representative told the committee the Surplus Building is completed and multiple facility projects are nearing completion across Bedford County. He said furniture is being moved into the juvenile building, the morgue team had training, the Health Department's generator was delivered and will be hooked up shortly, and many school vestibules are finished pending some glass installation at Liberty.
The representative also said the contractor brought an incorrect asphalt batch and has agreed to remove and replace the work at its expense: "They brought in the wrong batch, they're tearing that out and replacing that at their expense," he said. The representative noted a $6,000,000 state contribution, ongoing core testing, and work on TCAT's IT room.
