The Town of Winhall Select Board unanimously approved a $166,300 contract with Hunter Excavating to replace four culverts on Stratton Mountain Access Road. The board considered two bids — AS Clark at $229,000 and Hunter Excavating at $166,300 — and awarded the project to Hunter with the optional Intervale culvert included. Completion is expected by late September 2026.
Select Board member Beth Grant moved to approve the Hunter Excavating bid and Julie Isaacs seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The culvert replacements are sequenced before planned paving work on the access road.
The board did not amend the contract terms at the meeting; the award included the timeline reported to the board.
