Emergency services report: BFO training, paramedic recertification, EMS call counts down
Emergency Services staff reported BFO training started with 22 students, a paramedic certificate renewed through 2030, countywide EMS calls are down, and a dropped-call report will be corrected to include January 2026; an employee lost their home in a fire and an accreditation plaque presentation is planned.

Emergency Services staff Brian Winslow and David Dowdle provided several operational updates to the Public Safety Committee. Winslow reported that BFO training started last week with 22 students (the State allowed a couple of extra participants beyond the usual maximum), and that someone from the NYCEMA board will present an accreditation plaque. He also noted an employee lost a house due to fire.
