Commissioner Jeff Hatcher asked whether any post‑sentence Department of Corrections inmates were being housed in the county jail and whether the county should move to limit such housing. Chief Deputy Danny Staley said the jail housed inmates awaiting DOC acceptance and those on rotation, but he was not aware of post‑sentence DOC prisoners being retained beyond policy constraints.
