Commissioners back Saint Anthony’s redevelopment and support HUD funding request

"Congressman Jackson has agreed to submit a community project funding request with HUD," Hance said, and he told the court that the application requires only a local resolution of support and that Potter County would not have liability for the project beyond routine administrative assistance (up to 1% in administrative costs, he said). Commissioners asked clarifying questions about timelines (Hance said a decision could come in late June or July), potential county reporting obligations (Hance said none), and the consequences if Congress does not approve the request (he said the developer would borrow to proceed but it would increase project costs). The court approved the resolution of support 5–0.
