At 9:35 a.m. the board recessed into executive session for five minutes under the attorney–client privilege exception to the Kansas Open Meetings Act to discuss personal litigation. Those present for the executive session were Chair Neal Younger, Commissioner Nathan Leiker, Commissioner Michael Berges, County Counselor Bill Jeter and County Administrator Darin Myers.
The open session resumed at 9:40 a.m.; Commissioner Nathan Leiker moved for an additional five minutes in executive session, the motion passed, and the session reconvened and concluded at 9:49 a.m. No action was taken following the executive-session discussions.
