Commissioners approve MOU with DOC (term change requested), appoint new library board member and complete routine approvals
By 3-0 votes the board approved an MOU with the Department of Corrections subject to modifying the term to end Sept. 2027, appointed Belinda Bomhoff to the Peru Public Library board, and approved minutes, claims and payroll. The MOU authorization includes instruction to allow 'Fred' to sign the document (minutes do not state Fred's role).

The commissioners approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Corrections designed to prevent county billing for housing ICE detainees who pick up state criminal charges, contingent on amending the MOU term to end Sept. 2027 to match the DOC's federal contract. The board authorized ‘‘Fred’’ to sign the MOU; the minutes do not identify Fred’s official title.
