Committee approves Chapter 110 sidewalk changes; forwards amendments for jury consideration
The Road/Subdivision Regulations Committee voted unanimously to accept proposed changes to Chapter 110 (sections 110‑93 and 110‑228) that align parish sidewalk requirements with the standing Unified Development Code; the committee will forward the changes to the full police jury for consideration June 17, 2026.

Dr. Ken Ward, Parish Administrator, reviewed how sidewalks are addressed in three places within Chapter 110 of the Bossier Parish Code of Ordinances and recommended amending the parish code so that parish requirements align with what the standing Unified Development Code (UDC) requires. "To reduce the restrictions that the police jury has adopted for those areas inside an MPC, he suggests that the parish amend the code to require only what is required under the standing UDC," Dr. Ward said.
