Martin County adopts order restricting certain fireworks

The Martin County Commissioners Court approved an order under Local Government Code 352.051 to regulate certain fireworks within the county. The order classifies restricted fireworks as “skyrockets with sticks” or “missile with fins,” and the minutes reference 49 Code Regulations 173.100(r)(2) in defining these prohibited types. Commissioner Auggie Ramos moved the order and Commissioner Kenny Stewart seconded; the court voted 4-0 to adopt the regulation.
