Chris Jackson, Tax Assessor/Collector, explained the need for an additional full‑time employee in the Tax Office. Commissioner Nicholas Thomas moved to approve the request; Commissioner Tim Alexander seconded and the motion carried without opposition. Nicholas Thomas then moved to amend the approval so the position would take effect on Feb. 1, 2026; Tim Alexander seconded and the amendment also carried unopposed.
