Planning Commission schedules March community input session on Comprehensive Plan update

Bonanno said the WPPDC and the Planning Commission will hold a Comprehensive Plan Community Input Session on March 10, 2026. He described the session as an opportunity for "residents, business owners, and community groups to share their ideas for the future of Patrick County," and said the plan will outline development goals for the next 15 to 20 years.
Commission members asked procedural questions about the plan's scope and whether ordinances could be referenced in the document; staff confirmed ordinances may be included or referenced in the plan. The session is intended to gather community input that will inform planning guidance sent to the Board of Supervisors.
