Finance Committee approves wage-schedule updates and multiple reclassifications

The Finance Committee approved a set of Human Resources updates that amend the county’s wage schedules and reclassify several positions, effective in early 2026.
Actions recorded include amending Resolution #25-683 to reflect updated wage schedules (effective Jan. 1, 2026); adding the title Deputy EMS Operations Coordinator to Grade 8 (salary range $78,280–$90,748) effective Feb. 11, 2026; reclassifying the Secretary to the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds from Grade MC5 to Secretary III Grade MC3 effective Feb. 11, 2026; retitling the Training & Development Specialist to Employment and Development Specialist (Grade 7, $82,400–$95,524); adding Valuation Data Coordinator to MC Grade 9 ($23.03–$26.70/hr) effective Jan. 20, 2026; and reclassifying the Deputy County Treasurer from Grade 15 to Grade 12 (new range $59,740–$69,591) effective Feb. 11, 2026. Motions by Supervisor Roche carried (Ayes:7).
The minutes indicate these changes followed desk audits, wage comparisons, or were included in the 2026 budget where noted. County HR indicated no negative fiscal impact in at least one reclassification item; where budgetary impacts exist the items were recorded as approved in 2026 budget or as attached documentation.
