The Houston County Board of Commissioners met on Jan. 7, 2025, and recorded a series of formal actions. The Board approved the Dec. 17, 2024, minutes; added a Finance Clerk position at Grade 17 to the county's Position Control list; approved a six-month court reporting contract for the new Superior Court Judge; accepted the 2025 VOCA Grant (C23-8-249) for $96,505; authorized a $429,176.04 distribution of Project SOAP funds to the Development Authority of Houston County; ratified FY24 audit budget adjustments across multiple funds; approved a Memorandum of Agreement to combine LMIG projects for joint bidding with neighboring cities; approved the 2025 LMIG road list totaling 8.07 miles; and approved payment of bills totaling $3,183,491.71.
