Commissioners approve limited remote-work period for Assessor's office deputy

At the Oct. 7 meeting HR Director Michelle Portwood asked the board to permit the Assessor's chief deputy to work remotely through Oct. 17. Portwood said the deputy had resigned but needed to remain on duty until Oct. 17 to complete required state reports and to review appeals; the replacement employee is scheduled to start Oct. 27. Commissioner Frank Loop moved to approve the limited remote arrangement "for this period only and for this employee only," Jason Sharp seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously.
