Kane County adopts resolution supporting septic systems in water‑hauling subdivisions

"This is extremely impactful to our county because we do have several subdivisions that would not be eligible then to have septic system implemented," County Commissioner Celeste Myers said, citing Cedar Mountain, Deer Springs Ranch and Bryce Woodland as examples.
Commissioners discussed that the interpretation had been enforced recently and that the issue will be reviewed again by the public health board on January 28; the commission asked to add Grand County to the resolution's recitals to show precedent in the region. Commissioner Patty Cabea noted the rule had been on the books but not always enforced. The commission voted unanimously to adopt the resolution and directed staff to circulate the updated language for distribution.
