The town engineer updated the council on infrastructure projects. Phase IV sewer line work is reported complete; the contractor has roughly 45 days remaining for concrete and sidewalk work, and the plan is to add Sandy's Hardware force main into the contract rather than as an additive alternate. Phase V sewer remains on hold.
Officials said the Route 20 corridor pre-bid meeting was held on Sept. 18, 2024; the bid opening is scheduled for Oct. 9, 2024 at 12 p.m. The council also received updates on AML (abandoned mine lands) work: Phase I is nearing closeout with one or two pay applications remaining and an upcoming change order for additional paving and screening, while Phase II has a NEPA environmental assessment drafted for submission.
No contract awards were approved at the meeting; the updates were informational and guided upcoming procurement steps.
