RPC approves 20‑unit multifamily complex at East Bourbon with extended site‑development deadline

The commission approved a conditional‑use permit (CU2436) to allow a 20‑unit multifamily complex at 1300 East Bourbon Street in Pahrump. Staff found sufficient justification for approval. The conceptual plan showed four fourplexes, two duplexes and 17 storage units; each fourplex was proposed as two‑bed, one‑bath units. Applicant Russ Meade described the project as affordable multifamily housing and told commissioners that the site‑development schedule — a category‑1 plan completion within one year — is tight given expected utility and Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) timing.
