The general manager reported that Nor‑Cal EMS is sunsetting its Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification program effective Feb. 10, 2026, and that California Pines Fire Department personnel will need to transition to certification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or maintain Public Safety First Aid (PSFA) as the minimum training pathway required by California regulation.
