Town Planner Christine reported that FEMA approved the town's Hazard Mitigation Plan review. She said the final procedural step is Select Board placement for approval; once adopted by the Select Board the plan will be official and will keep Harwich current for five years, a status that Christine said is important for competing for state and federal hazard‑mitigation grants.
