Calhoun County accepts $50,000 donation to replace Lucas CPR devices

A county representative explained the Lucas device performs continuous chest compressions and can extend the effective period of care beyond what a single rescuer can sustain: "So it does CPR for you... it doesn't get tired, and it just keeps going," the speaker said. Commissioners approved acceptance of the funds and authorized required grant paperwork.
