Town Planner Christine told the board the Cape Cod Commission voted unanimously on June 25 to certify Harwich’s Local Comprehensive Plan (LCP). She said she, the town administrator and the LCP chair made a presentation to the Commission and that the certification is now official; Christine said she will submit the certification to the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities as a procedural next step.
Christine credited the local LCP committee, town department staff, and external consultants for completing the plan. She said the certification will help position Harwich to apply for competitive state and federal grants and will guide boards and committees on land‑use and growth management for the coming planning period.
