Board releases 2027–2030 Transportation Improvement Program for public comment

MPO staff told the board that the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) represents projects expected to be funded over the next four years and recommended releasing the draft TIP for public comment together with the long-range plan amendment.
"This is what will actually be funded over the next 4 years," the staff member said, explaining the TIP would be released in conjunction with Amendment 2 of the long-range plan. The staffer warned the board that the STIP process requires a hard cutoff (June 12) and that the board’s June meeting may need to be moved to accommodate TxDOT deadlines.
Committee member (Speaker 2) moved to release the draft program for further comment; the motion was seconded and passed with no opposition. Staff said the documents will be circulated for at least the standard comment period and returned to the board after review of public input.
