Board approves $17,114.29 in change orders for courthouse construction work

The Marshall County Board of Supervisors approved OPN and Garling Construction Change Order #1 on March 11, adding exterior windows, holding-cell concrete pads and courtroom door hardware changes ($14,635.36) plus an added courtroom floor box ($2,478.93) for a combined total of $17,114.29.
Buildings & Grounds Director Lucas Baedke described the change order as a housekeeping item related to previously approved work and said window replacement is expected to take about three weeks. The Board adopted the change order by voice vote (motion by Hibbs, second by Goodman). The contract-change approval allows the project contractor to schedule and purchase materials for the described items.
The county will continue to monitor construction progress and report material schedule updates to the Board as needed.
