The Harvey County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved Dec. 23 a five-year contract with Axon Enterprise, Inc. to supply TASER 7 devices, training bundles and related services to the sheriff's office at $33,770.64 per contract year, for a total of $168,853.20.
Undersheriff Shawn Chapman said contracting now "will lock in the pricing of new devices and avoid the 5% price increase effective in January of 2026." The quote included hardware bundles, cartridges and software licenses including Evidence.com and a data program; county materials list an estimated contract start date of Feb. 1, 2026 and detailed delivery and warranty schedules in the attached Axon quote.
