Council amends transportation code language to replace 'hike and bike trails' with 'trails and shared use paths'
On second reading the council approved an ordinance update to the Cedar Park Code of Ordinances to align Transportation Criteria Manual terminology. Council agreed to change 'hike and bike trails' to 'trails and shared use paths' in section 12.20.007 and approved the ordinance unanimously.

Staff noted the codification aims to align defined terms in the city code with terminology used in the master mobility plan; one council member pointed out that the code still used the older phrase "hike and bike trails."
