Planning director Lisa Hannon briefed council on a petition by property owner Raymond Wood to annex roughly 3.943 acres into Decatur city limits and asked the council to approve a resolution to schedule public hearing dates for the annexation. Hannon said accepting the petition and setting hearings does not itself annex the property but establishes the process and public-notice timeline.
