Commission champion Cheryl Brandenburg reported gains in nominations last year and led discussion of timing and categories for this year’s yard-beautification awards. Commissioners suggested opening nominations around Memorial Day or Mother's Day, adding categories for apartments and balconies, including photos with nominations and adding an optional contact field to help verify winners.
