Ryan Hiatt, the county 911 coordinator, presented three quotes for a new Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and recommended the CIS option, which he said would cost $20,000 for five years. He also said the CIS system would require a 'Protocol System' quoted at $50,000 to purchase and $9,000 (the transcript does not specify whether $9,000 is an annual fee or another charge).
Hiatt said he would reach out to organizations for possible donations and Commissioner Zaste said he would contact the Turtle Mountain Tribe about potential support. Commissioner Poitra moved to table the decision to the next meeting to allow additional financial review; the motion passed unanimously.
