At the April 16, 2024 organizational meeting, Supv Goede won the County Board chair election with 10 votes to Supv Taylor’s 8 in a secret ballot; the Board also set procedures for tie votes and then elected Supv Beitlich vice-chair by unanimous ballot.

Supv Goede was elected chair of the Vernon County Board of Supervisors after a secret-ballot election that produced a 10–8 vote over Supv Taylor. County Clerk Jerry Pedretti presided over the roll call and the nomination process before ballots were tallied and the result announced.
