Vernon County adopts 2024–2029 Economic Development Strategy summary

The Board adopted Resolution 2024-08, endorsing a summary of goals produced with Place Dynamics and the Mississippi River Regional Planning Commission to guide economic development and future grant applications.
The Vernon County Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 2024-08 on Feb. 15, approving a summary of goals from a 2024–2029 Economic Development Strategy. Administrative Coordinator Cassie Hanan told the Board the Economic Development Committee contracted with Place Dynamics and the Mississippi River Regional Planning Commission to develop the strategy and that the summary consolidates shared objectives of both efforts.
The motion to adopt was made by Supv Pedretti and seconded by Supv Yttri and carried on a voice vote. The resolution record included committee chair Kay Stanek’s submission; the resolution text notes adoption will support future grant applications and provide a vision for county economic resiliency through 2029.
