Health department amends 2024 budget to accept multiple grant adjustments
The Board approved five amendments for the Vernon County Health Department’s 2024 budget to reflect state and local grant adjustments — including car-seat funding, WIC adjustments, an opioid-related medication-safety grant, lead-testing funding for daycares, and an additional vaccine fund allocation.

The Vernon County Board on March 21 approved Resolution 2024-22, which amends the 2024 Health Department budget to reflect several revised or new funding sources. Health Department Director Amy Kleiber told the board these state-contract revisions and grant awards do not increase the county tax levy.
