Commissioners approve two sheriff’s office pay increases, reclassify pay bands

The Mountrail County Board approved two probationary salary increases in the Sheriff’s office during its Sept. 2 meeting. Commissioners voted to raise Cailey Loehle’s dispatcher pay to $27.88 per hour (equivalent to $58,000 annually) after successful completion of the probationary period; a separate motion raised Deputy I Dylan Pausig’s pay to $32.45 per hour (about $67,500 annually). Both increases passed by unanimous roll call.
Later in the meeting Human Resource Generalist Randi Schumaier presented HRAC recommendations. The board moved Sheriff and the County Engineer into salary band E84 (from band E81) and approved moving the Assistant State’s Attorney into band E81 (from D61). Commissioners said the changes keep existing salaries while adjusting classification bands; both banding motions passed by roll call.
