The Ingham County Board adopted Resolution #26-283 to amend the existing agreement with Capital Area Housing Partnership, increasing the contract amount by $461,400 (from $1,450,000 to $1,911,400) using Legislative Enhancement Grant funds. County staff said the program has already deployed nearly $1 million and is projected to deploy another $300,000 in the next two months, and that the additional funding will support roughly 15 more income-qualified homebuyers with up to $30,000 each.
The resolution directs that eight of the added awards prioritize buyers of homes constructed or rehabilitated using Ingham County Housing Trust Fund dollars. Any amended agreement must be consistent with the Legislative Enhancement Grant terms and end no later than January 30, 2029; the Controller/Administrator is authorized to make the budget adjustments and execute contract documents approved by the County Attorney.
