Washington County adopts 2026–27 appropriations after failed motion to split Item 9
The Board rejected a motion to divide Item 9 of the appropriations resolution, then adopted Resolution 26-06-02 making appropriations for fiscal year 2026–27; Commissioner Jim Wheeler voted against the final adoption.

At its June 18, 2026 special session, the Washington County Board of County Commissioners considered "RESOLUTION 26-06-02 RESOLUTION MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS, DEPARTMENTS, INSTITUTIONS, OFFICES AND AGENCIES OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, TENNESSEE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2026 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2027."
