The Winona County Planning Commission voted March 19 to adopt its current Rules of Procedure as an interim measure while staff and counsel prepare revisions to align the rules with Open Meeting Law and County Board policy. Assistant County Attorney Steve Kranz advised adoption of interim rules pending the drafting of proposed revisions.
Commissioners debated a proposed change to Rule 1.6 to require roll-call votes when members attend remotely; the motion to amend and adopt interim rules passed unanimously. The commission also voted to table discussion of whether public commenters must state their home address until the April 16, 2026 meeting.
