County assessor reports 'Solutions' vendor failures; Board will seek alternatives

Brandi Schmidt, Floyd County Assessor, briefed the Board on ongoing problems with the assessor software vendor Solutions, saying the county has experienced "poor communication, accessing servers without notice, and failing to complete programming in time to meet statutory deadlines." Schmidt said she will contact alternative vendors, including Tyler Technologies and ReGov, and departments were asked to compile a list of issues to support a formal letter to Solutions.
