A presenter for the county's health plan renewal (S8) told commissioners the Texas Association pool increase averaged 9.8% but Brewster County’s renewal was only 3%, and reviewed three alternative plan designs. "The health plan renews October 1," S8 said, and summarized Option 1 as raising the deductible to $1,000 while largely keeping premiums stable.
