The Commissioners’ Court authorized county staff to apply for the FY2025 State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) through the Bureau of Justice Assistance. The application seeks reimbursement for certain types of incarceration costs incurred by local governments. County Judge Shane Stolarczyk moved for approval and Commissioner Richard Chapman seconded; the measure passed on a recorded 5-0 vote.
