Board approves Everbridge contract to replace CodeRed for county mass alerts

The Board of Supervisors approved a contract to replace the county's CodeRed emergency telephone notification system with Everbridge, a cooperative‑purchase solution the county vetted with neighboring localities and state partners.
Chief David Kisner, who presented the recommendation, told the board the county has evaluated multiple vendors and expects Everbridge to better meet countywide needs across fire, EMS, parks and recreation and other departments. "The cost per year, $12,843.68 per year, which is a little savings upon what we were paying for the Code Red," Kisner said. The board approved the contract by roll call (all voting aye).
