Administrator reports legislative update, GPS installs and closing funds received

County Administrator Cindy Williams distributed the latest ACCA legislative report and reminded commissioners of three remaining County Advocacy Days (March 17, March 31 and April 14). She told commissioners there had been no new changes on the SSUT bills and noted a separate bill was introduced that would change distribution-computation timing.
Williams also reported the county received a closing check for the Spec building and the additional land purchase in the amount of $447,656.92; the county used $354,372.10 to pay the remaining loan to Wiregrass Electric. She reminded departments that DCS would install GPS trackers at the Road & Bridge department March 10–12.
