County Engineer Justin Barfield told the Commission that contractors are currently driving pilings on Caldwell Road and Line Road as part of FEMA‑funded bridge replacement work. He said acquisitions are largely complete but that two parcels of right of way remain outstanding and must be secured to finish the projects.
Barfield also reminded residents to report any local road issues given forecasted adverse weather and noted ongoing maintenance including brush cutting on County Road 4. No formal votes were required at the meeting on the bridge projects themselves.
