County staff report progress on Owasco Lake 9‑Element plan implementation and watershed sampling
Cayuga County staff finalized a 9‑Element implementation report for Owasco Lake (2022–2025), continue tributary sampling via FLLOWPA grants, and are coordinating streambank restoration work and hydra/hydrilla monitoring and planning with state agencies and regional partners.

Principal Environmental Planner Michele Wunderlich told the committee she finalized the 9‑Element Committee implementation report for 2022–2025, which compiles committee work to move the EPA 9‑Element Plan for Owasco Lake forward. The report is being distributed and is available on the county website.
