Constable precinct 1 seeks radios, body cams and a drone as workload surges

He said current car‑adapter handheld radios fail in many East‑side and northeast areas and that a true mobile radio would maintain dispatch connectivity. The constable said an Axon package (tasers, body cams) had been quoted for six but will be corrected to the department’s requested five devices; the drone quote includes evidence‑management features and training. Commissioners asked for updated quotes and were reminded that the county’s new budget committee will follow up with written questions.
