He said crews used about 14 semi loads of milling material to fill problem sections and coordinated interlocal work with the city of Grand Island on half-mile stretches.
"We started. We got the first mile done off of that, working with the city up there in Cairo," Don said, describing progress and next steps including a pre-construction meeting for the Rosedale overlay. Commissioners asked follow-up questions about timing and the condition of specific vehicles used for the work; staff said additional slab replacements and rip-out schedules were planned before Thursday.
